THUS

The Thailand-US Cable System (THUS) is envisioned to connect Thailand to the United States through up to five other Southeast Asian countries – Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam – while avoiding the South China Sea, spanning up to 11,500 miles long.

On September 14, 2026, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) and National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) of Thailand announced the signing of a Grant Agreement to support a feasibility study for the Thailand-US (THUS) international submarine cable system. And NT selected APTelecom Limited Liability Company (APTelecom), a US-based company, to conduct the entire assessment covering all dimensions.
