Converge Joins Southeast Asia-Hainan-Hongkong Express Cable Project

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Monday, Converge  ICT Solutions, Inc ("Converge") said it has become a party to a construction and maintenance agreement (C&MA) for the South-East Asia-Hainan-Hongkong Express Cable System ("SEA-H2X"), from Singapore to Hong Kong, with branches to Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Hainan (China), etc.

According to Converge, the SEA-H2X consortium comprises China United Network Communications Group Company Ltd.(China Unicom), CMCC Infrastructure 3 Limited (CMCC), Converge ICT Solutions, Inc (Converge), and PP Telecommunication Sdn. Bhd.(PPtel).

The C&MA was effective on last Friday (March 4), subject to certain conditions precedents, including securing certain regulatory consents and approvals.

In addition to investment in the SEA-H2X cable system, Converge has invested in the Bifrost Cable System project connecting Singapore to the US, and its domestic submarine cable network.
