The Batam-Dumai-Melaka Cable System (BDM cable system) is a 400-km intra-Asia regional submarine cable system between Malaysia and Indonesia with two routes, Melaka-Batam and Melaka-Dumai. The BDM cable consists of two fiber pairs, with a design capacity up to 1.28 Tbps. And the BDM cable project is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2011.
