The Asia Link Cable (ALC) is approximately 6,100-kilometer in length, connecting Hong Kong SAR China and Singapore as its trunk, with branches into Hainan (China), Vietnam, the Philippines, Brunei and Malaysia .

The ALC cable system features 13 fiber pairs on its Hong Kong to Singapore trunk, 26 Tbps per fiber pair and a system capacity of 338 Tbps, using an optical spectrum of 39.5 nm.

The ALC project costs over US$300million (SG$420.8million). FPT Telecom released its investment in the ALC project would be up to US$87 million. UNN announced its investment in the ALC cable system would be up to US$60 million (or $85 million BND).

The ALC consortium comprises China Telecom, China Unicom, Globe, DITO, Singtel, GTS (Singapore), UNN, FPT Telecom, Viettel, VNPT, Malaysia Telecom (TM) and Matrix.

The ALC cable system is supplied by HMN Technologies Co., Limited (HMN Tech).

The ALC cable system is expected to be ready for service in 2026.
