According to PEACE, PEACE Cable International Network Co., Ltd. (PEACE) and Cyber Internet Services Pvt Ltd(Cybernet) signed a Cable Landing Party Agreement on April 16, 2019 at Capacity North Africa in Cairo, follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed by both parties in 2018. Cybernet, amongst Pakistan’s oldest ISPs, is the PEACE Cable Landing Station Partner in Pakistan and has been entrusted with deploying PEACE Pakistan Cable Landing Station (CLS) and managing its operations. Cybernet will build the first carrier-neutral cable landing station in Karachi, Pakistan. PEACE cable is targeted for completion in Q1, 2020.

Pakistan & East Africa Connecting Europe (PEACE) is 12,000 km long, privately owned cable system. The PEACE cable system will provide an open, flexible and carrier-neutral services for its customers. The PEACE cable system is designed with the latest 200G technology and WSS technology, delivering capacity over 16 Tbps per fiber pair and a total system capacity of 96 Tbps.

The PEACE cable system will lands in Pakistan, Djibouti, Egypt, Kenya and France --- in the first phase -- will connect the three most populated continents in the world, providing critical interconnection to the economic corridors of Asia, Europe, and Africa. 

Delivering 96Tbps of capacity to Pakistan, the PEACE cable project will enable carriers to extend gigabit speeds to the Pakistani population and will be instrumental in meeting the exponential growth in bandwidth demand from mobile and fixed broadband users in Pakistan and neighboring countries.
