La Union Cable Landing Station (La Union CLS) is located in Bauang city, La Union state. The La Union CLS is owned by Philippines Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) which started the construction of the cable landing station in 2007 and completed it in 2009 for the landing of the AAG (Asia-American Gateway) cable system.
The La Union Cable Landing Station provides some relief to PLDT's another existing cable landing station in Batangas where several domestic and international cables land, and serves as a diverse infrastructure for PLDT to enhance its network availability.
Besides the La Unicom CLS owned by PLDT, the state-owned firm Bases Conversion and Development and Development Authority (BCDA) operators a cable landing station for PLCN landing in San Fernando city, La Union.
