Spaning approximately 9,000 kilometers, the INDIGO cable system is designed with two fiber pairs, with a design capacity of around 36 Tbps and option to expand in the future.

The INDIGO cable system  consists of two sub-system,  INDIGO West connecting Singapore and Perth with a branch to Jakarta, and INDIGO Central connecting Perth and Sydney.

Alcatel Submarine Networks will construct the cable, which is expected to be completed by mid-2019.
